Tepexichthys aranguthyorum ( Fig. 8 View Figure 8 A-C)

The fin rays are constituted of cellular bone with numerous osteoblastic canalicles that are orthogonal to the bone surface ( Fig. 8A, B View Figure 8 ). The osteocytic lacunae are star-shaped with thin cell processes ( Fig. 8C View Figure 8 ). The osteoblastic canalicles are frequently ramified ( Fig. 8B,C View Figure 8 ) and they end in the bony tissue with thin ramified processes ( Fig. 8C View Figure 8 ).
