Etymology. The specific name is a noun in apposition, derived from the Brazilian State where these spiders occur.

Diagnosis. Both sexes resemble similar congener Nops itapetinga n. sp. by having the posterior unpaired claws elongated and dorsally reflexed ( Fig. 5B) and the PLS longer than PMS; but can be distinguished by having remarkable chevron lines at distal dorsal part of abdomen ( Fig. 48A), males with embolus shorter and strongly curved at middle ( Fig. 48B‒C) and females with a wide invagination and weakly sclerotized distal margin of lobes ( Fig. 48F).

Description. Male (holotype): Carapace and legs orange ( Fig. 48A); chelicerae, labium, endites and sternum yellowish orange; coxae lighter. Abdomen light gray, dorsal pattern with light gray chevron bands as in figure 6K, although very poorly defined ( Fig. 48A), lighter ventrally. Anal tubercle and spinnerets light gray. Total length 9.8. Carapace 5.3 long, 4.55 wide. Sternum 4.2 long, 3.9 wide. Leg measurements: I: 4.0; II: 3.85; III: 3.5; IV: 4.15. Posterior unpaired claws elongated and dorsally reflexed. PLS longer than PMS. Palp with embolus longer than palpal tibia, strongly curved at middle part forming a 90° angle ( Figs 48B‒C; 49D); embolar tip wide, with three long extensions: one ventral and two dorsal ( Fig. 49E).

Female (paratype): Carapace, chelicerae, labium, coxae, legs, endites and sternum as in male. Abdomen as in male ( Fig. 48D). Anal tubercle and spinnerets whitish yellow. Total length 10.0. Carapace 5.8 long, 4.8 wide. Sternum 4.5 long, 4.0 wide. Leg measurements: I: 4.2; II: 4.0; III: 3.7; IV: 4.35. Posterior unpaired claws and PLS as in male. External genital area with weakly sclerotized anterior plate and strongly sclerotized lep, remarkable ess ( Fig. 48E). Internal genitalia with wide invagination on receptaculum, weakly sclerotized distal margin of lobes and uterus externus with narrow base ( Figs 48F; 49A‒C).

Distribution. Known from the Brazilian State of Bahia ( Fig. 48G).
