Nops ursumus Chickering, 1967: 16 View in CoL , figs 20–21. Male holotype from Barro Colorado Island (9°9′19″N, 79°50′54″W), Canal Zone, Panama, berlese funnel, iv–vi 1950, J. Zetek ( MCZ 23413) GoogleMaps ; female paratype, same data as holotype, 15.i.1958, A. M. Chickering ( MCZ 128576 About MCZ ) GoogleMaps ; male paratype, same data as holotype ( MCZ); all types examined. GoogleMaps

Remarks. The specimen recorded from Panama as Nops maculata by Banks (1929) was transferred to Nops ursumus by Chickering (1967). This specimen is an immature female but has the diagnostic abdominal dorsal pattern of Nops ursumus .
