Remarks: This genus and the species M. granulosus has been re-described by Dastych (2000, 2001). Mopsechiniscus granulosus is known from many localities in Argentina and Chile (for more details see Dastych (2000, 2001)). Dastych (1999a, b, 2000) intimated that there was a possibility of two new species (from Brazil and Chile respectively), but insufficient data prevented taxonomic identification.
