In Canada, this widespread, but rarely encountered eucnemid species has been recorded from Ontario. In the United States, O. downiei was previously recorded from Arkansas, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, and Wisconsin ( Otto 2022b, 2024b). Georgia and Kentucky are reported here as new state records.
