This widespread, rarely encountered eucnemid was previously reported from Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, and Wisconsin ( Otto 2022b, 2024b). New state records are confirmed for Kentucky, based on four collected specimens in Lindgren funnel traps while comparing the biodiversity composition of Coleoptera between a prescribed burn in a forested area and an unburned forest.
