Another widespread but rarely seen eucnemid species, X. crassicornis was previously recorded from Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin ( Evans 2011; Lawhorn et al. 2023; Muona 2000; Otto 2010, 2012, 2022b; Otto and Karns 2017).
