Range: — Honduras; Andes from Venezuela to Bolivia (BE, CO, LP, SC).
Ecology: —Common; on raw soils on landslides, roadbanks, cleared hillsides, and river banks, rarely inside thickets or forests; 200–2500(–3100) m.
Notes: —This is the only species in genus with the abaxial segment surfaces lacking farina but slightly to usually densely pubescent, especially on fertile segments. Typically found at higher elevations than P. calomelanos , but there is ample overlap.
