Range: —Southern Mexico to Guatemala; Costa Rica; Colombia to Bolivia (LP).

Ecology: —Rare (known from a single collection); terrestrial in moist grasslands, often among rocks; 4100 m. Notes: —Blades ± the same width throughout; hairs of blade apices and rachises yellowish, concolorous.
