Range: —Southern Bolivia (CO, SC, TA), northwestern and central Argentina.
Ecology: —Uncommon, terrestrial, restricted to the Tucumano-Boliviano forests; 3000–3600 m.
Notes: —For additional comments on this species, see Sundue et al. (2010). This species belongs to the group of Adiantum poiretii ( Hirai et al. 2016) , a clade with generally long-creeping rhizomes, glabrous or sparsely hairy rachises, and orbiculate pinnules with stalks 3–5 mm long, color of stalks passing into pinnule bases. Adiantum camptorachis is sparsely villous along veins abaxially, hairs 0.5–1.0 mm long, whitish, slightly tortuous, spreading; veins end in sinuses at pinnule margins.
