Type species: Asymades transvaalensis Kerremans 1893 (fixed by original monotypy).

Zavattaria Obenberger 1940: 16 ; Bellamy 1988b: 191 (syn. of Asymades View in CoL ); 1991: 10; 2003: 81.

Type species: Zavattaria borana Obenberger 1940 (fixed by original designation).

Comments. As mentioned earlier, this genus, along with Chalcophlocteis , are two bitypic coraebine genera in Africa ( Figs. 17–19), one in southern Africa and the other in east Africa.
