Material studied. “Nuku Hiva, Vallée française, 04. 2013., Tente Malaise, leg. Thibault Ramage” (3 ♀, 2 ♂, 4 nymphs, PCTR).

Diagnosis. This species as the only known representative of the genus is readily recognised by the generic characteristic as discussed in key. Furthermore, compared to Germalus species of the archipelago its base colour is blackish with pale ochraceous decorations whilst representatives of Germalus are generally ochraceous with fuscous or dark brownish decorations (e.g. fig. 1A).

Distribution. Australian taxon. Species is currently known from the island of Nuku Hiva, Marquesas Islands, French Polynesia. It is suspected that the presence of the species is a result of accidental human-mediated introduction. However the numbers of specimens collected suggest that the species is possibly established on the island.

Remarks. The species was thoroughly redescribed by Malipatil (1994) thus no redescription was intended.
