Type locality and specimens. Toussoum. Holotype, female, 3.8 mm.

Material examined. No material available for examination. Diagnosis based on description by Schellenberg (1928) and Barnard (1965).

Diagnosis. Coxae 1–4 anterodistally acute; coxa 1 with serrate anterior and distal margins; coxa 2 with serrate anterior margin. Pereopods 5–7 bases extremely narrow.

Female (sexually dimorphic characters). No significant sexually dimorphic character.

Habitat. Among Halimeda and grass beds; 1–43 m.

Host. Sponges.

Distribution. Red Sea: Suez ( Schellenberg 1928; K.H. Barnard 1937; Ruffo 1969; Olerod 1970). Pacific Ocean: Philippines, Fiji Islands (Schellenberg 1938; J.L. Barnard 1965a; Olerod 1970; Myers 1985c). Indian Ocean: Madagascar ( Ledoyer 1972; Ledoyer 1978; Ledoyer 1979a; Ledoyer 1986).
