General distribution. Europe: Austria, Bosnia Herzegovina, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Slovenia, Spain (Balearic Is.). West Asia: Caucasus, Turkey. North Africa: Algeria ( Zapparoli 2002; Minelli et al. 2006).

Chorotype. S-European (SEU).

Records in Peloponnisos ( Fig. 15 View FIGURE 15 ). Ahaia: W Kalavrita, 700 m (2); Mihas, E Platanos, 1300 m (2). Arkadia: Levidi, Menalon Ski Resort (2). Korinthia: Oros Killini, 1500 m (1, 2); Oros Killini, Ziria, NE slope, 1600–2100 m (1, 2). Lakonia: Taigetos, EOS, 1000 m (2); Taigetos, E slope, 1800–1850 m (1, 2); Taigetos, refuge, 1800–2200 m (2).

New records from Mt. Parnonas ( Fig. 15 View FIGURE 15 ). 1 ex., Arkadia, Agios Ioannis Theologos church, mountain refuge (loc. 19), 1610 m, N 37.226653 / E 22.591896, 29 Oct. 2014; 1 ex., Arkadia, Moni Malevis, 600 m W of the monastery (loc. 43), 905 m, N 37.328598 / E 22.571381, 2 May 2015.

Ecological notes. 0–2100 m; an euriecious species, in Abies cephalonica   and Pinus nigra   woods, and in montane open habitats ( Zapparoli 1994, 1996, 2002).
