General distribution. Europe: Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, France (incl. Corsica), Greece (incl. Crete), Hungary, Italy (incl. Sardinia and Sicily), Portugal (Azores, Madeira), Spain (Canary Is.). West Asia: Caucasus, Turkey. North Africa ( Zapparoli 2002; Minelli et al. 2006).

Chorotype. Mediterranean (MED).

Records in Peloponnisos (2) ( Fig. 11 View FIGURE 11 ). Ahaia: Kalavrita gorge (4). Arkadia: Tripoli (1, 3, 4). Messinia: Ithomi (1, 3, 4).

Ecological notes. 300–900 m; a species known in phrygana, in Pinus woods, and in agroecosystems ( Verhoeff 1901; Zapparoli 1994, 1996, 2002).
