General distribution. Europe: Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France (incl. Corsica), Germany, Great Britain, Greece (incl. Ionian Is.), Hungary, Ireland, Italy (incl. Sardinia and Sicily), Moldova, Montenegro, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (incl. Canary Is.), Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine ( Zapparoli 2002; Minelli et al. 2006).
Chorotype. European (EUR).
Records in Peloponnisos ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 ). Ahaia: Patra (loc. typ. of Lithobius pusillus var. obscuriceps Verhoeff, 1901 ) (2, 3, 5, 7). Argolida: Nafplio (1, 4, 7). Arkadia: 1 km E Vitina, crossroads to Vitina, 1025 m (7). Lakonia: Taigetos, near 1800–2200 m (6, 7).

Ecological notes. 110–2200 m; an euriecious species, recorded under Genista sp., in thermophilous Mediterranean habitats, in thermomesophilous broadleaved forests, in riparian woods, in Abies cephalonica and Fagus sylvatica forests, in caves, and in agroecosystems ( Zapparoli 1994, 1996, 2002).
