Description. Head and scutellum black; pronotum orange with large circular black medial spot, some specimens with lateral margins black; elytra orange with apical ¼ black, anchor-like marking entire or interrupted; venter black with sides of abdomen with small lateral spot on each side, lateral sternite orange. Head: vertex trisulcate; frontal carina straight; clypeus subquadrate, with longitudinal elevations; frons punctate, not projecting. Antenna: antennomeres 1–2 transverse, robust; 3–5 cylindrical, subequal in length; 6 shorter than 5; 11 as long as 3–6 combined. Pronotum: transverse; lateral margin slightly angulate in middle, convergent to apex; anterior angle rounded, without tooth; surface with microsculpture, less so basally; transverse basal impression indistinct; punctures small, indistinct; pronotal length 1.3–1.4 mm (n=7); pronotal width 2.0– 2.1 mm. Scutellum: subcordate; alutaceous. Elytron: 10 rows of punctures plus short scutellar row; lateral margin densely dentate on basal ½, apical ½ with large and small teeth; exterior apical margin rounded with large teeth; intervals 1, 2, and 8 costate, costa on interval 8 interrupted in middle, interval 6 costate at base and apex; elytral length 6.3–7.0 mm; elytral width 3.0– 3.7 mm. Venter: abdominal sterna alutaceous laterally. Leg: femur and tibia punctate; protibia of male with small tooth; metatibia simple. Total length: 7.0– 9.0 mm.
Remarks. This species can be distinguished by the elytra having a scutellar row and by the pronotum with a basal impression.
