Material examined. 1991.11.13, Tanzania, Zanzibar Island, John Murray Exp., 1 spec.

Description. Specimen U-shaped, about 16 mm in length and 2 mm in breadth across mid-body, in bad state of preservation. Skin cream to off-white. Tentacles 10, ventral two drastically reduced, all tentacles cream in colour. Mouth and anus terminal. Tube feet scattered. No ossicles in tentacles. End plates very fragmented and found only in some tube feet, fragmentation either due to partial dissolution or incomplete formation, closely resembling those of Crucella scotiae described above.

Remarks. This singular specimen also lacks ossicles except for some corroding tables and end plates in some tube feet. It is suspected that it comes close to the single specimen from the Arabian Sea ( Oman) described above in the form of its tube feet tables and perhaps represents the same species. If it were not for its scattered tube feet, there would be little doubt about the conspecificity of both materials.
