Material. Indonesia: SE Sulawesi, nr Sanggona, Base camp, Gn. Watuwila, Mal. trap 1, c 200 m, 1 ♂ 10–15.x.1989, leg. C. van Achterberg (Leiden) .

Remarks. The studied ♂ differs slightly from the description of Heinrich (1965: 222–223). Body length 17 mm. Flagellum with 39 flagellomeres, bristle-shaped; 1 st flagellomere 4.1 × longer than wide. Tyloids on flagellomeres 10–16, long-oval, central, maximally 0.5 × as long as the flagellomeres. Hind femur 4.7 × longer than wide. 2 nd tergite 1.2 × longer than wide.

Colour. Black with yellow coloration. Yellow are palps, mandible except teeth, clypeus, face, gena, frontal orbit, scape ventrally, apical margin of propleuron, frontal and upper margins of pronotum, spot of tegula, subtegular ridge, large stripe on ventral mesopleuron, apical spot on metapleuron, two short paramedian stripes of mesoscutum, scutellum laterally and apically, postscutellum, petiole, basal bands of 2 nd to 4 th tergites and apical margins of 2 nd and 3 rd tergites, 7 th tergite mainly, 2 nd to 4 th sternites except brown lateral spots, hind margins of 5 th and 6 th sternites, parameres, fore and mid coxae and trochanters, apical spots on hind coxa and hind trochanter. Legs otherwise black with some reddish-brown suffusion; fore and mid femora, tibiae and tarsi with yellow stripes frontally, hind tibia with subbasal yellow ring. Wings slightly infuscate; pterostigma ochreous centrally, margins blackish.

Distribution. Known from Myanmar, new record for Sulawesi.
