( Figs 32A–E View FIGURE 32 )

Holotype. (♀) Indonesia: Sula Isl. , Mangole, near Buya, Mal. trap 14, c 490 m, 2–22.iii.1995, C. van Achterberg & Y. Yasir, RMNH (Leiden).

Paratype. (♀) similar label (Leiden).

Etymology. The species name refers to the extended ivory coloration.

Description. ♀. Body length 7.0 mm.

Head. Flagellum with 33 flagellomeres, long, slightly lanceolate; 1 st flagellomere 5.0 × longer than wide; widest flagellomeres square. Temple rather short, slightly narrowed behind eye, moderately and roundly narrowed apically (fig. 32B). OED 1.5 × and OOD 1.3 × ocellar diameter. Temple and frons smooth, with fine sparse punctures. Face with rather dense fine punctures (fig. 32A). Clypeus with rather dense punctures; apical margin sharp, slightly bulging apically, rounded medially. Mandible sickle-shaped, ventral tooth absent. Palps very long and slender; distal maxillary palp about 2× longer than 4 th palp. Malar space 0.8 × as long as width of mandibular base. Gena with sparse punctures.

Mesosoma . Side of pronotum almost smooth; epomia almost reaching the ventral margin of pronotum. Notaulus shortly impressed at frontal margin of mesoscutum. Mesoscutum densely punctate, shining. Ventral half of mesopleuron densely punctate frontally, coarsely striate posteriorly; dorsal part with fine punctures; speculum smooth and shining (fig. 32C). Metapleuron densely punctate frontally, coarsely striate in apical 2/3. Scutellum distinctly but roundly elevated, 1.3 × wider than long, punctate, with complete and slightly lamelliform lateral carina. Propodeum (fig. 32D) completely carinated; without distinct apophysis, but apical transverse carina slightly lamelliform at laterally. Spiracle oval, 2.0 × longer than wide. Area basalis trapezoid, wider than long, without median tubercle. Area superomedia hexagonal, 1.4 × wider than long; anterior transverse carina reaching at 7/10 of its length. Hind coxa densely punctate. Hind femur 3.2–3.4 × longer than wide. Areolet pentagonal; frontal distance between veins 2rs-m and 3rs-m 2.0 × their width. Vein 1cu-a postfurcal by 1.0 × its width. Nervellus of hind wing vertical, intercepted at apical 0.7.

Metasoma (fig. 32E). Oxypygous, stout. Postpetiole distinctly widened, with fine sparse punctures, smooth and shining. 2 nd tergite 1.5 × wider than long. Thyridium small, transverse, 0.3 × as wide as the interval between thyridia. 2 nd tergite densely punctate, shining; 3 rd tergite with superficial punctures; following tergites almost smooth. Ovipositor sheath extending behind metasomal apex by combined length of 6 th and 7 th tergites.

Colour. Black with extensive ivory coloration. Scape and pedicel brownish, red ventrally. Flagellum black, flagellomeres 5–17/18 ivory. Ivory are palps, mandible except tooth, clypeus except black narrow margins, face, gena, wide complete orbits, upper margin of pronotum, tegula, subtegular ridge, scutellum and postscutellum, short and wide paramedian spots on mesoscutum, dorso-frontal and ventral spots of mesopleuron, posterolateral stripe of propodeum, entire 1 st tergite, and wide apical bands of all tergites (widely interrupted medially on 3 rd tergite and strongly narrowed medially on 4 th tergite). Legs reddish; fore and mid coxae and trochanters ivory; hind coxa ivory dorsally; hind trochanter blackish; fore and mid tarsi distally ± blackish; hind femur black in apical 0.2; hind tibia ± yellowish basally, infuscate in apical 0.2; hind tarsus except brown distal tarsomere ivory. Wings hyaline; pterostigma brown.

Distribution. Only known from Sula islands.
