Material. Indonesia: SE Sulawesi, nr Sanggona, Mosquito Camp , Gn. Watuwila, Malaise trap, c 1200 m, 9 ♂♂ 13–17.x.1989, leg. J. Huisman & R. de Jong; Sulawesi, nr Bantaeng, Borong Rappoa, Gn. Daulu, Mal. trap 16, c 700 m, 1 ♂ 4–24.iv.1991, leg. C. van Achterberg (Leiden) .

Description. ♂. Body length 13 mm.

Head. Flagellum with 35–36 flagellomeres, bristle-shaped; 1 st flagellomere 2.8 × longer than wide. Tyloids on flagellomeres 10–17/18, long-oval, maximally 0.7 × as long as their flagellomeres. Temple parallel behind eye and moderately narrowed apically (fig. 40B). OED 1.4 × and OOD 0.9 × ocellar diameter. Face and clypeus punctate, head otherwise almost smooth and shining (fig. 40A).

Mesosoma . Mesoscutum with rather dense punctures, punctuation becoming very sparse in posterior third. Scutellum moderately elevated, wide than long, with lateral carina in basal half. Propodeum completely carinated, without apophysis (fig. 40C). Area superomedia heart-shaped, about as long as wide; costula reaching its middle. Hind femur 3.5 × longer than wide. Areolet pentagonal, frontal distance between veins 2rs-m and 3rs-m 2.0 × their diameter. Vein 1cu-a interstitial.

Metasoma. Stout. Postpetiole strongly widened and coarsely punctate. 2 nd tergite 1.1 × wider than long. Gastrocoelus strongly impressed. Thyridium large, transverse, 2.1–2.4 × wider than the interval between thyridia (fig. 40D). Apical margin of hypopygium distinctly elongate and pointed medially.

Colour. Black. Flagellum reddish-yellow, infuscate in distal 1/2–2/3. Ivory are palps, mandible except teeth, clypeus, face, gena, wide orbits (with narrow interception at lateral ocellus), ventral spots of scape and pedicel, spot of propleuron, frontal and upper margins of pronotum, tegula, subtegular ridge, large stripe of ventral mesopleuron, rather wide paramedian stripes on mesoscutum, prescutellar ridge, scutellum (sometimes bis black median stripe), postscutellum, upper division and apical spot of metapleuron, posterolateral stripe on propodeum, small posterolateral spot on postpetiole. Propodeum sometimes ± reddish-brown basally. Metasoma red. Legs red; fore and mid coxae and trochanters, and dorsal spot of hind coxa ivory. Fore and mid femora and tibiae ± yellowish frontally; hind tarsus brown. Wings hyaline; pterostigma brown.

Distribution. Only known from Sulawesi.
