Remarks. Batelka & Hájek (2015) discussed the morphological identity of Denierella striolata and Epicauta thailandica , transferred E. thailandica to the genus Denierella , and pointed out that D. striolata is a junior synonym of D. thailandica .

Yang & Ren (2007a) considered that D. striolata differs from D. venerabilis by “more parts of the body with long black setae…; male antennomere II three times as long as wide, X shorter than III; pronotum longer than wide, hardly depressed at base; median longitudinal light pubescent stripe nearly extending to the apex of elytron, and as broad as that along outer margin”. According to the examination of the type material of both taxa (see above), we discovered that D. venerabilis has the same features of D. striolata . Thus, we considered D. striolata and E. thailandica are junior synonyms of D. venerabilis .
