Genus Chorizococcus McKenzie

Type species: Chorizococcus wilkeyi McKenzie.

Generic diagnosis of adult female (adapted from Williams & Granara de Willink 1992): body elongate-oval or broadly oval; antenna normally with 8 segments, but sometimes with 7 or 6; circulus present or absent; with 1–5 pairs of cerarii, situated on posterior segments of abdomen except for an occasional pair on head, each cerarius containing 2 conical setae, those anterior to anal lobe pair without auxiliary setae. Oral rim tubular ducts present on dorsum, also frequently on venter. Oral collar tubular ducts present at least on venter of abdomen, occasionally present on margins opposite anterior coxae and on dorsal margins of abdomen. Legs well developed, translucent pores usually present on hind coxae; claw with or without a denticle. Anal ring normal, with 2 rows of cells and 6 setae.
