In the area considered here, Pholcus is mainly represented by the five species of the West African endemic guineensis group ( Huber 2011b; Fig. 30 View Figs 29 - 30 ). Pholcus berlandi Millot, 1941 from Senegal seems to belong in a species group more diverse in northern Africa ( Huber 2011b); Pholcus kakum Huber, 2009 covers the entire Guineo-Congolian rainforest ( Huber 2011b).
