Diagnosis. Dorsal surface of carapace with regions poorly defined; covered with numerous small, rounded granules. Pseudorostral spines long, curved, diverging. Supraocular eave narrow, forming acute sharp tooth, directed anteriorly; postocular tooth acutely triangular. Hepatic spine long, sharp, subequal in length to or slightly shorter than lateral branchial spine, directed sublaterally to laterally. Lateral margin with numerous small rounded granules, with long branchial spine directed laterally. Male thoracic sternites 3, 4 transversely narrow sternite 4 strongly constricted, anterior part much narrower than posterior part, with anterolateral margins almost parallel, median part of lateral margins strongly convex. Male abdomen broadly triangular, somites 3, 4 broadly trapezoidal, somites 5, 6 subrectangular. G1 slender with 3 distal folds.

Etymology. The new genus is named in honour of Sarah Samadi, who led the TARASOC cruise that collected the type specimen. Gender feminine.
