Type species. Broteochactas laui Kjellesvig-Waering, 1966
Composition. Based on the trichobothrial patterns reported in literature (Lourenço, 1983; Francke & Boos, 1986; González-Sponga, 1996a, 1997; Lourenço & Pinto-da-Rocha, 2000), as well as analysis of some type material, the majority of species formerly included in Broteochactas View in CoL belong to Neochactas View in CoL .
