Onychiurus campatus Gisin, 1952 . Mitt. Schweiz. Entomol. Ges., 25(1): 12
Protaphorura campata (Gisin) : Salmon, 1964. Bull. R. Soc. New Zealand, 7(2): 170
Studied Material. Loc. 9. 1 ex., 29.IX.1985.
In the Iberian Peninsula it has been found in Araba, in litter and beech soil, and in the Sierra de Gredos ( Jordana et al. 1997). It appears to be a hygrophilous species, typical of cool meadows down to the alpine floor, and sometimes on dry forest soils ( Gisin 1952a). The specimen from the Basaura cave in Navarra was found in a dry and relatively warm gallery (12°C), on Rhinolophus sp. guano ( Beruete 2000a, 2000b, Beruete et al. 2002).
