Diagnosis: Pilidiophorans without horizontal lateral cephalic slits; transverse cephalic furrows present or absent; proboscis without pseudocnidae, mostly lacking muscle crosses; one or no frontal organ (as opposed to three frontal organs in Lineidae ).
