Diagnosis. Similar to P. shirozui Inoue, 1986 in the following external characters: the antennae of the male is dentate; the vertex is white; the hind tarsus of the male is about one-third to one-half the length of the tibia; the ocellus of the forewing is rounded, consists of complete greyish silvery inner ring, black patches between M veins and on both sides of CuA1, black scales which are covered around the slivery ring, and strip-like white discal spot; the ocellus of the hind wing is simiar to that of the forewing, but is oval and the silivery ring is opened at anterior part. But the species can be distinguished by the following characters: the postmedial line of the forewing is thickened on the costa, while in P. shirozui , it is narrow and weak; the grey band on the forewing costa of the underside is lighter than that of upperside, while it is darker and more distinct than that of upperside in P. shirozui ; the ocellus of both wings of the underside are much lighter than those of P. shirozui ; in the male genitalia, the fused socii have a digitiform process at the base of the ventral surface, while the process is absent in P. shirozui ; the valvula is angle-like at the central part, while it is smoothly curved in P. shirozui ; two sclerotized band are present at the the manica of the aedeagus, but they are absent in in P. shirozui .

Remarks. After checking the orginal description of P. changmei Yang, 1978 and many specimens collected from near the type locality, we found P. changmei is identical to P. discophora . Therefore, we treat P. changmei as a junior synonym of P. discophora .
