Diagnosis. The species is similar to P. stueningi sp. nov., but can be distinguished by the following characters: the female antenna is dentate, while in P. stueningi sp. nov., it is filiform; the postmedial line of the forewing is slightly incurved between M veins, while it is smooth in P. stueningi sp. nov.; the ocellus on the underside of the forewing is densely diffused with dark greyish brown scales, and the two black markings are invisible, while in P. stueningi sp. nov., it shows through faintly from the upperside, without any greyish brown scales, and the black markings are invisible; in the male genitalia, the outer margin of the valvula is smooth, but it is triangular in P. stueningi sp. nov., the aedeagus is stouter and shorter, the lateral projections of the male eighth sternite are almost quadrate, but it is rounded in P. stueningi sp. nov.; in the female genitalia, the sclerite on the dorsal side of the anterior part of the ductus bursae is triangular, but it is trapeziform in P. stueningi sp. nov.
