Dendrolycosa fusca Doleschall 1859: 51 View in CoL , pl. 7, fig. 9 (Description of female; 2 subadult females, syntypes, Ambon, Coll. Doleschall, oud coll. no. 1162, 6043, RMNH, examined).— NOT Blandin 1979: 365, fig. 36 (misidentification; see D. duckitti View in CoL spec. nov.).

Note. Doleschall (1859: 52) mentions “several specimens were found in Ambon in clove gardens in the rainy seasons”. The two subadult females are considered syntypes, the one with an epigyne developed under the cuticle is designated here as lectotype, the other one as paralectotype to support nomenclatural stability. Although it is clear that the present epigyne of the lectotype does not constitute the natural (final) condition (cf. notes on D. lepida View in CoL above), it is illustrated for comparison with generally similar structures of adult females.

Diagnosis. Since the only specimens known are immature, no diagnosis can be given. Illustrations of female copulatory organ of one subadult syntype as well as habitus photos are shown to make future identifications possible ( Figs 126–129 View FIGURES 126 – 131 , 132–134 View FIGURES 132 – 140 ). One possible diagnostic character could be the star-shaped distal end of the head of spermathecae ( Fig. 127 View FIGURES 126 – 131 ). Moreover the shape of the spermathecae could also be helpful in diagnosing this species.
