Distribution in Iran. Alborz ( Sanaei & Seiedy 2015, 2017), Ardabil ( Modarres Awal 1986 as Apion ochropus ; Hashemi & Lotfalizadeh 2014; Lotfalizadeh & Hashemi 2015), East Azarbaijan ( Modarres Awal 1997, 2012 as Apion ochropus ; Borumand 1998 as Apion (Oxystoma) ochropus ; Legalov et al. 2010), Isfahan, West Azarbaijan ( Borumand 1998; Modarres Awal 2012, both as Apion (Oxystoma) ochropus ; Legalov et al. 2010).
General distribution. Algeria, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iran, Israel, Italy, Lichtenstein, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Syria, Turkey, Ukraine.
Plant associations in Iran. Lucerne ( Modarres Awal 1997), Glycine max (L.) Merr. ( Fabaceae ) ( Borumand 1998), broad bean, sainfoin, soybean ( Modarres Awal 2012), Lathyrus sativus L. ( Fabaceae ) ( Hashemi & Lotfalizadeh 2014; Lotfalizadeh & Hashemi 2015), Fabaceae ( Sanaei & Seiedy 2017) .
Comments. Four species of wasps have been recorded as parasitoids of this species in Iran: Eupelmus urozonus Dalman, 1820 ( Hymenoptera : Eupelmidae ) ( Hashemi & Lotfalizadeh 2014; Lotfalizadeh & Ghadirzadeh 2016), Eurytoma laserpitii Mayr, 1878 ( Hymenoptera : Eurytomidae ), Pteromalus chlorospilus (Walker, 1834) and Pteromalus sequester Walker, 1835 ( Hymenoptera : Pteromalidae ) ( Hashemi & Lotfalizadeh 2014; Lotfalizadeh & Hashemi 2015).
