Type locality: “ Albanien (Skutari), Kaukasus, Daghestan, Lenkoran”, described from Albany and Transcaucasia ( Reitter 1920).

Geographical distribution: From southern Balkans to Transcaucasia and Iran; Azerbaijan, Albany, Armenia, Georgia, Greece, Iran, Macedonia, southern Russia and Türkiye ( Iwan et al. 2020).

The aedeagus of this species is quite variable, as shown by Schawaller & Grimm (1995: 72), specimens coming from Greece having longer aedeagus with parameres apically broader ( Fig. 22 View FIGURES 18–28 vs Fig. 21 View FIGURES 18–28 ).
