Diagnosis. Larva with the following features: fD = 4 (+ 2) - 6 - 4 - 4 - 4 = 22 (+ 2); fV = 2 - 2 - 2 u = 6; fnCx = 2 - 2 - 1; fnTr = 1 - 1 - 1; fnFe = 5 - 4 - 4; fnGe = 4 - 3 - 3; fn Ti = 5 - 5 - 5; fn Ta = 17 - 14 - 13; fSol = I (0 - 2 - 2 - 1), II (0 - 1 - 2 - 1), III (0 - 1 - 0 - 0); f k = I (1 - 1), II (1 - 0), III (0 - 0); fζ = 2 - 0 - 0; fε= 0 - 1 - 0; fPp = 0 - 0 - 0 -NNN2 -BNNNNω. Idiosoma with two dorsal scuta; Tarsus III with short and thick inner claw; AP <MA; AA <SB.

Description. Holotype larva: Red in colour when alive. Idiosoma oval, dorsal surface with 22 setae, each arising from small sclerite and with fine setules ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 2 ). Scutum trapezoidal, widest at postero-lateral angles, with straight posterior border and convex posterior angles. Anterior border rounded and lateral borders straight. Scutum with punctation at 2/3 posterior part (after AM to posterior border, before AM smooth), between AM and S with sparse punctation; AM, AL and PL setae barbed; PL at postero-lateral angles of scutum. AL situated close to PL than AM. S barbed on 1/3 distal half ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 2 ). Tear-like ornamentation near AM seta on each side. Scutellum wider than long, with punctations and two barbed setae. Anterior border slightly convex and lateral and posterior borders straight. Ocular sclerite, 27 long and 19 wide, situated lateral to postero-lateral angles of scutum; with two eyes, anterior 14, posterior 11 in diameter.

Ventral surface of idiosoma with one pair of intercoxal setae, 3 pairs of para-anal setae and anus ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 2 ). All setae on ventral idiosoma with fine setules. Coxal fields distinctly punctate. Coxa I with proximal seta 1a, 30 long and antero-distal seta 1b, with long setules, 32 long. Coxa II with one antero-median seta 2b, 25 long and postero-median 2a, 37 long. Coxa III with single antero-median seta 3b, 29 long. All coxal setae distinctly setulose ( Figs. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 2 ). One pair of barbed intercoxal setae 3a between coxae III, 27 long.

Gnathosoma rounded posteriorly ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 ). A pair of adoral setae (Or) small, nude, ~3 long and placed on projection. One pair of subcapitular setae long, with setules at proximal half, 25 long, 10 apart at base. Supracoxal setae nude (eP), ~7 long. Cheliceral base 50 long; cheliceral blade 22 long, curved with single minute tooth distally. Palpal femur and genu without seta ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 2 ). Tibia with three nude setae ( Figs. 3 View FIGURE 3 ). Palpal tarsus with 4 nude setae, one barbed seta and a solenidion. fPp= 0-0-0-NNN2 -BNNNNω. One seta on palpal tarsus long and smooth.

Leg segmentation formula: 6-6-6. Leg setal formula: Leg I: Ta - 1ω, 2ζ, 16B, 1N; Ti-2ϕ, 1κ, 4B, 1N; Ge- 2σ, 1κ, 4B; Fe- 5B; Tr- 1B ( Figs. 4 View FIGURES 4 – 6 & 7 View FIGURES 7 – 9 ). Leg II: Ta- 1ω, 1ε, 14B; Ti - 2ϕ, 5B; Ge- 1σ, 1κ, 3B; Fe- 4B; Tr- 1B ( Figs. 5 View FIGURES 4 – 6 & 8 View FIGURES 7 – 9 ). Leg III: Ta- 9B, 4N; Ti- 5B; Ge- 1σ, 3B; Fe- 4B; Tr-1B ( Figs. 6 View FIGURES 4 – 6 & 9 View FIGURES 7 – 9 ). Trochanteral seta I–III and proximal seta of Fe I–III branched. Ta III with four smooth setae, one subterminal seta enlarged and swordlike, two cone-like and one very long (longer than other setae of tarsus) and placed on 1/3 proximal length of tarsus. IP= 255 + 240 + 254 = 749 (holotype).

Etymology: The species is named in honour of Prof. Ting-Huan Wen (Fundan University, China) for his great contribution to the systematics of terrestrial Parasitengona .

Types: The holotype (ARS- 20071117 -1a) and 7 paratype (ARS- 20071117 -1b to 1h) larvae were collected by H. Lazarboni, 26 June 2006, ectoparasitic on Cicadatra ochreata Melichar (Homoptera: Cicadidae ) on Cirsium arvensis , in Astaneh city (33º 53' N, 49º 21' E), Markazi province, Iran. The holotype and 5 paratypes are deposited in the Acarological Collection, Zoological Museum, College of Agriculture, University of Tehran, Karaj, Iran and two paratypes are deposited in British Museum of Natural History, London, UK. Additional specimens (same data as types) will be deposited in the Acarological Collection, Zoological Museum, College of Agriculture, University of Tehran, Karaj, Iran.
