REMARKS

Schmalfuss & Ferrara (1978) indicate that Congophiloscia saothomensis lacks coloration, perhaps due to its conservation in ethanol. We were able to observe live specimens and they present a yellowish-white coloration, except for the ocular apparatus, which are black. It is only known from São Tomé, being cited from Zampalma and São Nicolau ( Schmalfuss & Ferrara 1978; Ferrara & Schmalfuss 1985).
