Distribution. a polyphagous species found locally in Europe, it is common in the Middle East and Central Asia and has been introduced to parts of Africa, North and South America. It is a well-documented predator of the Russian Wheat aphid Diuraphis noxia (Kurdjumov, 1913) . Tanasijtshuk (1996) summarised its distribution and taxonomic characters and Gaimari & Turner (1996) detailed the immature stages.
