The karyotype of this species comprises one pair of large, 11 pairs of small and the largest X with all telocentrics ( Fig. 22a View FIGURE 22 ). Thus, the spermatogonial metaphase shows 25 (24 autosomes and the X ( Fig. 22b View FIGURE 22 ). There are 12 autosomal bivalents and the sole X) at first metaphase ( Fig. 22c View FIGURE 22 ).
