Notes on biology. The genus Eurytoma is speciose with many undescribed Australian species with diverse biologies, some being phytophagous and granivorous but most parasitic and predatory. The latter tunnel in galls and prey on multiple gall inducers or their parasitoids ( Bouček 1988). Eurytoma was recorded as phytophagous from Fergusonina galls on Eucalyptus ( Currie 1937) , phytophagous or parasitic from F. lockharti galls on Eucalyptus ( Taylor et al. 1996) and as ectoparasitic on F. turneri from Melaleuca where they tunnelled between gall cavities to predate on multiple fly larvae ( Davies et al. 2001, Goolsby et al. 2001).
