Metalibitia fuscomaculata H. Soares, 1970 View in CoL

( Figs. 9 View FIGURE 9 A–G)

Metalibitia fuscomaculata H. Soares, 1970: 326 View in CoL [desc], fig. 6; Kury & Pinto-da-Rocha, 2002: 356 [cat]; Kury, 2003: 69 [cat]

Type material. MNRJ 5064 holotype ♀. Examined. HSPC 72 , paratypes 2♀. Not examined. Type locality. BRAZIL, Pará State, Paru River , east margin.

Geographical distribution ( Fig. 14 View FIGURE 14 ): Only known From type locality.

Diagnosis. Resembles M. santaremis and M. abuna sp. nov., in having two separate tubercles on paracheliceral projections ( Figs 2 View FIGURE 2 C, E, 9A); coxae I–III with FalciForm, elongated tubercles, surpassing the coxae apex ( Figs 2 View FIGURE 2 C, E; 9A); Femur IV elongated ( Figs 6 View FIGURE 6 C, E; 9D); Femur, patella and tibia IV smooth ( Figs 6 View FIGURE 6 C, E; 8C, E; 9D, F); similar to M. santaremis in having six ventral tubercles on pedipalpal Femur ( Figs 3 View FIGURE 3 F, 9C) ( M. abuna sp. nov. has eight, Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 F); to M. abuna sp. nov. in having coxa II with retrolateral tubercle ( Figs 2 View FIGURE 2 E; 9A). It is distinguished From these species in having similar sized tubercles on Free tergite III ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 A) ( M. santaremis and M. abuna sp. nov. have the median tubercles highest, and M. abuna sp. nov. has two contiguous tubercles, Figs 2 View FIGURE 2 C, E), and trochanter IV with one ventral proximal tubercle with rounded apex ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 E) (absent in M. santaremis and M. abuna sp. nov., Figs 6 View FIGURE 6 H, J).

Redescription. Female (MNRJ 5064)

Measurements (holotype): dorsal scutum, total length 2.8; dorsal scutum, total width 2.6; prosoma length 0.8; prosoma width 1.5; Femur I length 1.2; Femur II length 2.3; Femur III length 1.8; Femur IV length 2.7; pedipalpal Femur length 0.6 mm.

Coloration in ethanol: Entirely pale brown.

Dorsum ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 A): Anterior margin oF dorsal scutum with median portion smooth, with two rhomboid tubercles, near paracheliceral projections. Lateral margins borders oF opisthosoma with rounded tubercles near areas I–IV. Domed ocularium, without median depression. All scutal areas entirely covered with small tubercles. Posterior margin oF dorsal scutum with a row oF 14 rounded tubercles, with paramedian region smooth. Free tergite I with a row oF 16 tubercles, II with row oF 14 tubercles, III with row oF 10 tubercles. Anal operculum with 17 rounded tubercles irregularly distributed. All tubercles oF posterior margin oF dorsal scutum Free tergites and anal operculum have rounded apex.

Chelicera ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 A): Bulla with three–Four tubercles on proximal margin, the prolateral one higher, two tubercles on retroapical region, and dorsolateral small tubercles. Segment II with three teeth, segment III with Four teeth.

Pedipalps ( Figs 9 View FIGURE 9 B–C): Trochanter with one high ventral tubercle. Femur with dorsal tubercles united, Four dorsoapical tubercles, ventral row oF six rounded tubercles, and one proapical tubercle highest. Tibia and tarsus lost.

Legs ( Figs 9 View FIGURE 9 A, D–G): Coxa I with one FalciForm prolateral long tubercle with pointed apex (reaching the coxa apex) and one retrolateral basal long tubercle. Coxa II with one FalciForm retrolateral apical tubercle with rhomboid apex and one prolateral tubercle with the same shape. Coxa III with one long prolateral pointed tubercle and one retrolateral. Coxa IV without apical region visible, tuberculated, with one dorsopical prolateral apophysis and three minute ventral tubercles, one retroapical tubercle with rounded apex. Trochanter IV with one dorsal tubercle, three small retrodorsal tubercles, with one ventral proximal tubercle with rounded apex. Femur IV entirely granulated. Patella and tibia IV tuberculated.
