Description. FEMALE: (n = 8, dorsal view). Body oval, 178 (178–180), 70 (70–72) wide; light yellow. Gnathosoma 18 (17–18), projecting obliquely downwards, pedipalp coxal seta (ep) 3 (3–4), dorsal pedipalp genual seta (d) 5 (5–6), cheliceral stylets 15 (15–16). Prodorsal shield 38 (36–38), 55 (52–55) wide, median line present 1/3 at base, admedian lines concaved at basal 1/3, submedian lines complete, median, admedian and submedian lines parallel; anterior shield lobe absent. Scapular tubercles ahead of rear shield margin, 20 (17–20) apart, scapular setae (sc) 23 (22–23), projecting centrad. Coxal plates smooth, anterolateral setae on coxisternum І (1b) 7 (6–7), 10 (10–11) apart, proximal setae on coxisternum І (1a) 34 (34–35), 10 (10–11) apart, proximal setae on coxisternum ІІ (2a) 48 (48–55), 25 (25–26) apart. Prosternal apodeme 7 (6–7). Legs with usual series of setae. Leg І 40 (38–41), femur 10 (10–11), basiventral femoral seta (bv) 12 (12–13); genu 5 (5–6), antaxial genual seta (l'') 25 (25–27); tibia 8 (8–9), paraxial tibial seta (l') 8 (7–8), located at center; tarsus 7 (7–8), seta ft' 7 (7–8), seta ft'' 26 (26–30), seta u' 5 (5–6); tarsal empodium (em) 8 (7–8), simple, 4-rayed, tarsal solenidion (ω) 8 (7–8), knobbed. Leg І 32 (32–36), femur 7 (7–8), basiventral femoral seta (bv) 15 (15–17); genu 5 (4–5), antaxial genual seta (l'') 9 (9–10); tibia 5 (5–6); tarsus 6 (5–6), seta ft' 6 (6–8), seta ft'' 23 (23–25), seta u' 5 (5–6); tarsal empodium (em) 8 (7–8), simple, 4-rayed, tarsal solenidion (ω) 9 (8–9), knobbed. Opisthosoma dorsally with 50 (47–50) annuli, smooth, ventrally with 48 (45–48) annuli, with round microtubercles on rear annular margin. Setae c2 26 (22–26) on ventral annulus 5 (5–6), 60 (55–60) apart; setae d 27 (27–40) on ventral annulus 11 (10–11), 38 (37–38) apart; setae e 12 (12–13) on ventral annulus 25 (25–26), 21 (20–21) apart, setae f 26 (26–27) on 6th ventral annulus from rear, 22 (21–22) apart. Setae h1 absent, h2 73 (70–77). Female genitalia 15 (15–16), 25 (24–25) wide, coverflap smooth, setae 3a 13 (13–15), 15 (15–16) apart.

MALE: Unknown.

Type material. Holotype, female (slide number Iran 111, marked holotype), from Prunus dulcis (Mill.) (Rosaceae) , Robat, Birjand, South Khorasan Province, Iran, 23 June 2010, coll. H. Sadeghi and F. Darmiani, deposited as a slide mounted specimen in the Arthropod/Mite Collection of the Department of Entomology, NJAU, Jiangsu Province, China. Paratypes, 2 females (slide number Iran 112–113), from Prunus dulcis (Mill.) (Rosaceae) , Robat, Birjand, South Khorasan Province, Iran, 23 June 2010, coll. H. Sadeghi and F. Darmiani, deposited in the Arthropod/Mite Collection of the Department of Entomology, NJAU, Jiangsu Province, China; 5 females on five slides (slide number Iran 113.2–113.6) from Prunus dulcis (Mill.) (Rosaceae) , Robat, Birjand, South Khorasan Province, Iran, 23 June 2010, coll. H. Sadeghi and F. Darmiani, deposited in the Department of Plant Protection, FUM, Iran.

Host plant. Prunus dulcis (Mill.) (Rosaceae) .

Relation to host. This species is vagrant on both leaf surfaces. No damage was observed.

Etymology. The specific designation robaticus is from the name of the location, Robat, where the new species was collected.

Differential diagnosis. This species is similar to Colomerus pruni Kuang and Luo 2005 [from Prunus pseudocerasus Lindl.(Rosaceae) ], but can be differentiated from the latter by having smooth coxal plates (with short lines in C. pruni ), setae h1 absent (present in C. pruni ), admedian and submedian lines present on the prodorsal shield (admedian and submedian lines absent in C. pruni ).
