liturata Macquart, 1835 View in CoL , Hydrophoria

Hydrophoria liturata Macquart, 1835:302 View in CoL . Syntype (s) ♀ (♀), “du nord de la France ” ( France, Lille area), not in MNHN or MHNL, and presumed destroyed.

MATERIAL. — Described from an unspecified number of ♀♀. No syntypes have been located.

CURRENT IDENTITY. — Bezzi & Stein (1907: 686), Hennig (1969b: 295) and Dely-Draskovits (1993: 63) included this as an unrecognized species of Hydrophoria Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 .The description agrees perfectly with Zaphne (formerly Hydrophoria ) ambigua (Fallén, 1823) , and I have no hesitation in synonymizing Hydrophoria liturata Macquart, 1835 with Zaphne ambigua (Fallén, 1823) (n. syn.).
