5. Homogryllacris yunnana sp. nov.

(Map 1, Figs. 5 View FIGURE 5 , 7 View FIGURE 7 : D)

Male. Body medium. Fastigium of vertex obtusely rounded, about 1.5 times as broad as scape. Eyes ovate; ocelli small and indistinct. Anterior margin of pronotum broadly rounded, posterior margin nearly straight, lateral lobes of pronotum trapezoid, longer than high, humeral sinus inconspicuous. Tegmina reaching abdominal apex, base of M vein not united with R vein. Hind wings slightly longer than tegmina. Fore and middle tibiae with 4 pairs of movable long spines and a pair of short apical spurs on ventral margin; middle tibiae with an inner apical spur on dorsal margin. Hind femora with 9 – 13 inner spines and 3 – 7 outer spines on ventral margins; hind tibiae with 10 – 13 inner spines and 6 – 8 outer spines on dorsal margins, a pair of ventral spurs near apex, a pair of dorsal apical spurs and 2 pairs of ventral apical spurs. Ninth abdominal tergite short, trapezoid, apical area slightly curved downwards, posterior margin semicircularly concave. Tenth abdominal tergite very short, in the middle with a pair of long and slender processes, basal part of processes semicircularly curved, middle areas decussate ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 : F), apical area spinous, apices acute, directed outwards. Subgenital plate simple, slightly longer than wide, posterior margin triangularly concave in the middle, the lateral lobes triangular, which apices subacute. Styli slender, cylindrical, inserted on both sides of subgenital plate near apex. Cerci long conical, as long as subgenital plate.

Coloration. Body pale reddish yellow. Antennal sockets, base and apex of scape, base of pedicel, and fastigium of vertex with blackish spots; eyes and inner margin of mandibles black. Pronotum with reddish marks. Veins on tegmina purplish red, cells hyaline, apical part pale green. Dorsal surface of abdomen light red.

Female. Similar to male in appearance and coloration. Subgenital plate nearly semicircular, in the middle of posterior margin emarginate. Ovipositor much longer than hind femur, nearly straight, apex obtusely rounded.

Measurements (mm). Body: 315.5 – 17.5, Ƥ18.0 – 20.5; pronotum: 34.0 – 4.3, Ƥ4.0 – 4.5; tegmina: 315.5 – 16.5, Ƥ15.5 – 16.0; hind femora: 311.5 – 12.5, Ƥ12.5 – 13.5; ovipositor: Ƥ22.0.

Type material. Holotype, 3, Caiyanghe, Pu’er, Yunnan, 27 August, 2009, collected by Fu-Ming Shi. Paratypes, 1Ƥ, Menglun, Mengla, Yunnan, 9 September, 2004, collected by Zhi-Shun Song; 13, Menglun, Mengla, Yunnan, 17 August, 2007, collected by Guo Zheng; 131Ƥ, Menglun, Mengla, Yunnan, 18 August, 2008, collected by Guo Zheng; 531Ƥ, Caiyanghe, Pu’er, Yunnan, 26 August, 2009, collected by Rui-Lian Li.

Discussion. The new species is similar to Homogryllacris gladiata Liu, 2007 , but it differs from the latter in (male): apical part of subgenital plate bearing triangular lobes at sides; styli slender, on both sides of subgenital plate near apex; processes on tenth abdominal tergite long and slender, conical.

Distribution. China (Yunnan).

Etymology. The name of the new species is derived from Yunnan, China, the type locality of the new species.
