Material examined: Holotype: 1 male ( NMNS –6345–001), Taiwan, Nantou County, Shueili, Renluen, experimental forest area, primary forest, 23°42.501’ N, 120°55.275’ E, 1615 m, 15 May 2008, leg. L. Dányi, Z. Korsós & E. Lazányi; Paratypes: 1 male, 1 female ( IBSS), 1 male ( HNHM), 1 female, 1 juvenile ( NMNS – 6345–002), 1 female ( ZMUM), same locality as in holotype, 15 May 2008, leg L. Dányi, Z. Korsós & E. Lazányi; 1 male ( NMNS –6345–003), Taiwan, Nantou County, Shueili, Renluen, experimental forest area, mixed forest, Cryptomeria and Taiwania , 23°42.783’ N, 120°54.333’ E, 1557 m, 17 May 2008, leg. L. Dányi, Z. Korsós & E. Lazányi.

Diagnosis: Differs from congeners mainly by the shape of the posterior gonopod lateral coxal branch with a spiraled distal portion carrying a lateral serrate blade, as well as in male coxa 10 bearing a ventral setose outgrowth with numerous apices.

Description: Male. Length about 15 mm, width with paraterga about 1.3 mm. Coloration in alcohol pale brown with a transverse brown (marbled brown in anterior part of body) band on each meta- and prozonite growing increasingly broader towards hind part of body. Paraterga light brown. Legs with marbled brown distal parts. Venter and lower portion of pleura pale. Head brown with marbled brown spots and bands. Ocellaria black. Antennae brown with a light brown distal part.

Body with 32 segments. Head covered both with relatively long and short setae. Each eye patch composed of at least 30 ocelli. Collum semi-circular. Body width gradually increasing until somite 7, body parallel-sided on somites 8–15(16), thereafter gradually tapering. Beginning from somite 4, paraterga normally developed, growing increasingly less distinct towards hind part of body, strongly reduced on somite 26, absent from somites 27–31. Paraterga 2 and 3 small. Metazonital macrochaetae in a transverse row on somites 30 and 31, like an elongate (to different degrees) triangle on preceding somites. Anterolateral macrochaetae shorter than medial ones, posterolateral macrochaetae longest, all pointed apically, but not very sharply so. Metazonites dorsally with two low knobs placed near axial suture on each side.

Leg pairs 3–7 somewhat enlarged. Leg pairs 3 and 4 without tarsal papillae. Claw of leg pairs 3 and 4 at base with one dorsal, additional, small claw, but without filament ventrally. Leg pairs 5–7 with a small group of funnel-shaped tarsal papillae apically near claw. Claw of leg pairs 5–7 at base only with a long setoid filament ventrally, without additional small claws dorsally. Postgonopodal legs (including leg pairs 10 and 11, without tarsal papillae. Claw of leg 10 and 11 at base with one small additional claw dorsally and a long setoid filament ventrally. Claw of midbody legs at base with one small additional claw dorsally and a long setoid filament ventrally. Claw of hindmost legs at base with one small additional claw dorsally, but without filament ventrally.

Legs 10 and 11 with coxal glands. Coxa 10 with low papillae caudally and a ventral setose outgrowth with numerous apices ventrally ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ). Trochanter 10 with a tiny ventral outgrowth setose apically. Coxa 11 covered with low papillae caudally, without processes ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ). Trochanter 11 with a caudal rounded process covered with papillae mesally. Sternite 11 with an anterior drop-shaped prominence.

Anterior gonopod telopodite 1-segmented, flagelliform, beset with cuticular spinules, its distal part positioned inside sheaths with elevated edges ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ). These sheath edges like high plates in lateral view. Telopodite base and distal part of coxosternum attached to adjacent mesal portion of posterior gonopod. Posterior gonopod colpocoxites fused sub-basally, curved posteriad distally, each with a lateral blade (b). Mesal sheath processes of posterior gonopod colpocoxites fused medially into a single cup-shaped structure (ms) covered with pointed spinules caudally. Lateral sheath processes (lp) cup-shaped, covered with pointed spinules mesocaudally. Posterior gonopod angiocoxite with a globule, but without process in posterior view.

Posterior gonopod coxal part with a long, lateral, flat branch (lb), its distal part unciform, supplied with a serrate blade. Basal part of this branch fused with both colpocoxite and anterior angiocoxite.

Angiocoxite depressed centrally in anterior view ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ), supplied with a long process (ap); distal portion of this process penetrating colpocoxite and protruding outside anterolaterally. Posterior gonopod telopodite 2- segmented, trochanteroprefemur hollow for accommodation of lateral branch (lb) mesally, femur knobshaped (part of femur visible through wall of trochanteroprefemur of posterior gonopod telopodite).

Female. Length about 16 mm, width with paraterga about 1.4 mm. Body with 32 segments. Nonsexual characters as in male. Vulvae not dissected.

Name: The specific epithet refers to the serrate blade of the lateral coxal branch of the posterior gonopod.
