Diagnosis. – A medium sized species (wing length 6.8 mm); face with a pair of medium sized pear shaped spots; scutum black; postpronotal lobe and notopleuron yellow; each lateral postsutural vitta of medium width and narrowing slightly posteriorly to end before ia. seta; mesopleural stripe reaching midway between anterior margin of notopleuron and postpronotal lobe dorsally; wings with cells bc and c colourless, microtrichia in outer 1 / 3 of cell c only, fuscous costal band almost confluent with R 4+5 but of paler diffuse colouration between R 2+3 and R, broad fuscous cubital streak; legs with all segments fulvous; abdomen elongate oval and with terga II–V orange-brown except for pale fuscous margins laterally on tergum V and a narrow medial longitudinal pale fuscous band on anterior 2 / 3 of this tergum, shining spots orange-brown.
