Remarks: This spitting cobra is another typical occupant of semi-deserts and dry savannas ( Spawls et al. 2018). In November 2016, we found three individuals of the grayphased Naja pallida ( Fig. 4X View Fig ). All were active after sunset at Koobi Fora and Karare. One was found in grassland near the lake shore, and the other two were foraging in dry riverbeds.
