Indian Ocean distribution. Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Mauritius ( Ballesteros, 1994: 538–539, figure 3 View FIGS ), Réunion ( Payri, 1985: 640, as D. pilosa ), Rodrigues (this paper), Saudi Arabia, Tanzania.
Note. Wynne (2002: 539–544) pointed out that the correct name for this entity is D. anastomosans (Weber-van Bosse) Wynne, which predates D. pilosa (Weber-van Bosse) Millar.
