Ecology. Epilithic in crevices just above spring low water mark.
Indian Ocean distribution. Mauritius ( Børgesen, 1943: 49–51, figures 21, 22; 1953: 28), Réunion ( Payri, 1985: 640), Rodrigues (this paper), Tanzania.
