Holotype: DZSJRP 6217, 24.9 mm SL, rio Grande drainage, upper rio Paraná basin, near the old sand port, known as Velho Adão, Santa Clara D’Oeste, São Paulo, Brazil, 20°1’27.2”S, 50°54’46.6”W, cols. F.R. Carvalho & J.O. Carvalho, 8 January 2004 ( Fig. 3 ).

Remarks: The discrepancy between the number of specimens (paratypes) herein listed and those mentioned in the original description may be due to a counting error in the original description, since no loans, donations and/or loss of specimens have been recorded.
