Malinaltepec, aprox. 2 km al SE de la desviación a Xochiatenco, camino a Xochiatenco, bosque de Pinus , junto a un arroyo, 1950 m, 17°08′35.5″ N, 98°40′52.8″ W, 3 July 2005, R. de Santiago, L. Lozada & J. Rojas 1626 (holotype: FCME; isotypes: CAS accesion number 1156755 [digital image!], ENCB, IEB, K, MEXU accesion number 01372866 [digital image!], MO, NY barcode 02147377!, US, XAL).
Notes:—This species was overlooked by Guimarães et al. (2019) and the needed combination into Chaeotogastra is made here.
