Type locality: Brazil (MA, Mirador).

Diagnosis: Small sized (7.6–10.7 mm). Frons with parallel side and slight convergence at the base. Flagellum of the antenna with a short basal plate almost as wide as high, and with similar in length to the stylus. Thorax dark-brown with yellowish pilosity. Hyaline wing, except for the slight darkening of the costal cell. Apex of the hind tibia without black hairs. Abdomen greenish-yellow with yellowish pilosity.

Etymology: from Greek, “ Micros ” means little and “ Keras ” antenna.

Discussion: This species is easily separated from C. mexicanus , C. fairchildi and C. crepuscularis due to the lack of wing spots. C. leuconotus n. sp. and C. leucochlorus have whitish and snow-white pilosity respectively, which is very different from the yellowish pilosity in this species. The narrow frons of C. microceratus n. sp. permits its separation from C. parviceps and C. ochreus , both with wide frons. The elongate basal plate in C. flagellatus and C. falsiflagellatus n. sp. separate them from C. microceratus n. sp. which has a short and high basal plate. C. inanis can be identified by its darkened wing venation at the intersections of the veins, while C. microceratus n. sp. has hyaline wings with very clear venation without darkening at the intersections.
